From the Founder
November 2025
In July of 2025, projects were winding down and I could see the writing on the wall. I halfheartedly sent out resumes and feelers for new opportunities. I knew I was done with the traditional corporate world, so I set out to make my own way with the tools and experience that I learned along the way through my corporate journey that started with a Mac to PC conversion in 1998 at Liberty Mutual.
I had an established LLC called Kettering Professional Services. Using that company, I started KPS—which was my overarching IT contracting company. High-level, technical strategy. My corp comfort zone. From there, I wanted to become more specialized and created KetteringAI.com—which I referred to as KAIS and specialized in implementing AI in PMO settings: requirements, project plans, etc. Then I decided that I wanted to help small businesses grow with the help of AI, which birthed KetteringWorks.AI—with the intention of helping small business owners work better, faster, smarter. One of my first conversations about my latest ventures was with my aesthetician. She wanted an all-inclusive app for the beauty industry. Wheels started turning and Oravella was born, but NOT YET. Oravella was started but placed on the back burner.
In the midst of this, I also wanted to do something that spoke to my passions. What do I love most? Travel and concerts! Next stop on the wild train is Groovin' Fly—curated trips for the 40+ ladies. Where are my people who want to continue to party and age gracefully? THOSE are MY people.
Through all of this, I was reminded of an idea that I had come up with decades ago—what if we had an app that matched open restaurant shifts with available workers? When I owned and operated a local restaurant with my (late) brother, staffing was our biggest challenge. I wanted to solve for that back then and always believed there was an opportunity in this space where we could use technology to bridge this gap. Win-win for the workers and the restaurants. In 30 days' time, I went from concept to a fully operational app that soft launched on 11/22, which would have been my brother's 40th birthday. AND now we have www.SwipeAShift.app.
Once Swipe-A-Shift is stabilized, I will be hitting Oravella hard, because what I learned through all of this—my intuition was sending me on the right path. There were things I needed to learn BEFORE building a complete operations platform.
My tagline from the start was "From Chaos to Clarity." With the launch of Swipe, the clarity is that we no longer need the tech consulting. That is not the focus of ketteringPro—the focus is disrupting industries that NEED easy-to-use, plug-and-play technology to run their businesses. I am still committed to helping those small business owners—just in a much bigger capacity. I will deliver the tools that they REQUIRE to push their businesses forward. The beauty industry is just the tip of the iceberg.
With that, I would like to introduce you to the newly rebranded ketteringPro Enterprise.
